MTMA measurements

  • Modulated thermo-mechanical analysis
  • Used for separate consideration of simultaneous effects of shrinkage and thermal expansion
  • Via a temperature modulation (sinusoidal) the sample expansion can be decomposed into a reversible and non-reversible part by FFT

Load possibilities

  • Expansion probe for the CTE measurement of most solid-state materials
  • Macro expansion probe for CTE measurement of very soft materials
  • Penetration probe for characterizing the melting behavior of coatings on their substrates
  • 3-point bending probe for characterizing the deformation temperature of stiff materials
Beispiele
